The Arizona State University Southwest
Pieta is now a part of a lively campus community. During
the day, the plaza where it stands is a hot spot for skateboarders
and inline skaters.
At night, theater goers pass
through the plaza on their way to the campus theater. On special
occasions the Dean of the Herberger College of Fine Arts hosts
receptions and other ceremonies in the plaza.
