Union de Ornitólogos de Costa Rica

This nonprofit community-based organization, established in 2006, is already doing splendid work. Its goal is to enhance ornithological knowledge and understanding in Costa Rica, and it also conducts field research, such as on the migratory routes of the numerous birds of Costa Rica. Conservation of biodiversity is central to the organization's mission. The Unión's educational programs include one that trains high school students to be guides.
