QERC

The Quetzal Education Research Center (QERC), a founding member of the Resplendent Quetzal project, is one of the most important ornithological research sites dedicated to promoting biodiversity, conservation, and sustainability of the tropical cloud forest of Costa Rica. QERC focuses on developing sound conservation methods while promoting economic viability. Students, scientists, and educators from around the world work with local farmers and community members to safeguard the diverse nature of the cloud forest.

Quetzals can be seen throughout the year in the cloud forest that surrounds QERC.
