Dr. Frances F. Berdan

Dr. Frances F. Berdan is a professor of anthropology and codirector of the Laboratory for Ancient Materials Analysis at California State University, San Bernardino. She and her colleagues there are at the forefront in featherwork analysis, including the adhesives used to fix the feathers in place. Berdan specializes in ancient and contemporary Mesoamerican cultures.
