As with a number of his other sculptures,
Luis Jiménez made a small model of his idea for the
sculpture.
However, it was in the lithographic
print that all his ideas came together into an image. The
print served as a kind of working drawing in the complex process
that finally resulted in the creation of a national historic
treasure.
